A day in Pied A Terre, London (Kitchen)
This dates back 3 years ago, 30th May 2009 during my 3 weeks of holiday (London - Paris - New York - London) . I would love to record down this journey, as it was through this trip, I started appreciating food more. Please pardon the photographs on my blog as they are not taken by good cameras, just my old Sony camera which have already retired. Currently I am using iPhone4S camera, which in my opinion is much better than many point and shoot cameras out there...Any sponsors for DSLR camera? (**hint hint**)
Pied a Terre, was a 2 Michelin star restaurant when I was in London in 2009. Located on 34 Charlotte Street, this restaurant maybe a little small (it can accommodate around 40 covers) but it sure serves one of the best food in London ! Recently it has lost one of it star, which I thought it was a shame as I remembered the food there was really good.....well has anyone been there recently ? Any comments on the food there ? I will be reviewing its complete degustation menu in another post..today lets just take a look around its kitchen....
The guest chef of the day (poser only...haha)
The second guest chef of the day (another poser...haha)
Let's welcome the 2 guest chef of the day for Pied a Terre !
Sitting in the bar before proceeding to the kitchen.....
A peak into a Michelin Star Kitchen......not everyone has a chance like us, we are so blessed ! Thanks to Ben who has a very good relationship with them...
The chef showing us how Suvee is done...
Every steps count...
This is how the Suvee the pigeon...
Chef explaining the steps to us... (honestly I cant remember the exact steps as I did not note it down, I only have these photographs to remind me, such a shame...well maybe the next time if there is another chance ! )
Look at how spotless the kitchen is!
And we are done!!! Good job chefs!! Look at the amount of work that has gone into a small and beautifully decorated dish like this....
