Tim Ho Wan (Hong Kong)

Tim Ho Wan (HK). Cheapest Michelin star restaurant around which opened an outlet in Singapore. Never had a chance to try it as it was always packed. Therefore, how can I miss it since I am in HK??!!

I went to Tim Ho Wan on September 16, 2014. I went to the outlet which was nearest to my hotel, and it was located at Olympian City. This outlet is new (slightly more than a year since they shifted from Mongkok) and spacious. I went around 3pm, therefore there was no queue and there was plenty of seats.

I ordered some dim sum to try and see what's the hype about. Read many mixed reviews of this place.

Prawn dumplings (of course!). Fresh and good.

Chicken Feet with green chillis.

Prawn Steam Rolls

Their signature : Char Siu Baked Bun (Yummy!)

Custard Bun.
Their custard bun is not the flowing kind (not liu sha bao). The custard is similar to egg tart custard. Not bad, but I prefer the flowing ones.

My all time favourite Osmanthus Flower Jelly with Wolfberries ( Gui Hua Gao). Nicely done. Not overly sweet.

Overall ,the dim sum punches its weight above its price! All the above dim sum for just HKD116! Definitely a good deal! I love their signature char siu baked bun, it is definitely a must try! I sure am coming back again to try more of the other dim sums before I leave HK!
