Chee Kei is located on the B2 of Langham Place. I went there on September 15, 2014 evening around 7pm. This is a popular place among the locals. It is apparently well known for it's wanton noodles. I did not feel like eating noodles tonight for dinner, but we did ordered their wantons to try.
Below is only part of the menu. Due to the lightings and the place I was seated at, it was not possible to take a clear shot of the menu and food without shadows. So pls bear with me folks. I promise I will improve on my photo taking skills! Thanks!
The ginger barley drink was rich and tasty and the greenies were quite fresh and boiled with wolfberries.
The Soya Bean drink is very thick and authentic.
Chicken with Mushroom Rice. OK lor. Taste like what you would imagine it would taste like.
Crab porridge. Thick and flavourful. It was also sweet due to the crab meat and roes inside.
3 different kinds of wantons, namely vegetable, pork and shrimp.
Overall, the food was decent and average only. Price wise, it is good for the pocket. The best thing I loved on the table was the ginger barley drink.
I believe that there are better options around in HK so don't bother eating here unless you are around the area and have no other food options available at that point of tummy rumbling time.
