Hi all, it's been a while since I last blogged about good food and travel! I have a huge backlog and would like to kick it off with my recent Hong Kong travel from September 15th -19th 2014.
(P/S Pardon me for the unedited photos. I prefer to keep things as it is and as real as possible =) )
Went to Ming Court on September 15, 2014. It is located on the sixth floor in Langham Place Hotel , this restaurant has won many awards as well as a Two-Michelin Star.
As for desert, we ordered the Melting Mango Roll with Almond Crust. This is a Must Try dish! It is love at first bite. It is kind of like a Melting Custard Bun (Liu Sha Bao).
Overall, we had a fantastic dim sum lunch at Ming Court. Their ingredients were very fresh and they had some very creative and fusion dim sum which I love. Highly recommended if you are in HK and would like to have good dim sum at a slow pace and in a nice and comfortable environment !

I went with the a-la-carte dim sum menu instead of the set lunch. We ordered Tie Guan Ying Tea to go along with the dim sum today. Didn't manage to take a photo of the tea, but it as good.
The homemade XO chilli sauce that accompanied our dim sums.
Fried Taro Dumplings with Foie Gras.
This is a well executed dish. The flavours blend well really well together. This is one of their must try dim sum.
Alaskan Crab Xiaolong Bao.
Sweet tasting and better than your average xiaolong bao, but nothing to shout about. With the hefty price tag of HKD28 per piece, you may consider to give it a miss.
Mushroom Bun.
This is apparently one of their speciality too as recommended by the waitress. It is like a longevity bun, but pan fried and filled with fresh mushrooms. Awesome and worth to try.
The Classic Char Siu Bun.
It came really soft with busting fillings. One of the best Char Siu Bun I have ever eaten!
Prawn Dumplings (Har Gao)
Fresh and huge prawns were used. What's there not to love about this classic Cantonese dim sum?!
Pork Dumpling (Siu Mai)
Pork dumpling with fresh shrimp and shrimp roes. Classic dish that is worth to try too.
